Project title:

Foundation for creating a trans-regional innovation system in SUDOE, based on creativity for innovation in firms, supported by universities, public administrations & stakeholder in the participating regions: CREATINN.

Introduction:

CREATINN project focuses on the innovation system, with the contribution of the working experience of the organisations participating in the project. The key lies on making the agents working in innovation systems go beyond their regions, so a real trans-regional innovation system can consolidate in SUDOE area.

CREATINN project focuses on business creativity & innovation. The goal is to improve competitiveness in the trans-regional framework of SUDE thanks to the support from the agents working on the innovation systems

Duration:

2 years (January 2011 - December 2012)

Scope of action:

Galicia, Seville, Basque Country, Salamanca, & Cantabria (in Spain) Aquitaine & Midi-Pyrénées (in France) Regiao Centro (in Portugal)

Objectives:

The general goal of CREATINN project is to contribute to wealth creation by means of launching an instrument which systematically supports business competitiveness in strategic sectors of SUDOE participating regions, based on creativity & innovation. For doing so and creating a trans-regional innovation system in the SUDOE area, the implication from Universities, Research centres, Technological centres, Public Administrations & Society will be required.

Specific goals of CREATINN Project:

1- DETECTING INNOVATION AGENTS: Detection of business & university research groups with potential & interest in participating in trans-regional actions.

2.- RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS ON INNOVATION: Implicating agents interested in a series of actions based on creativity & innovation with a SUDOE trans-regional perspective.

3- TRAINING ON INSTRUMENTS & METHODOLOGY: Providing training on instruments & methodology for the staff of participating organisations, this will help them to develop

4- THINKING ABOUT CREATIVITY: Acting directly in business interested in creativity in order to get a proposal of a set of creative ideas for improving competitiveness.

5- PRODUCING AN INNOVATION AGENDA: Producing a proposals portfolio of innovation projects from Business from the set of creative ideas presented by businesses (putting into practices the instruments and methodology of innovation management)

6- SYSTEMIC TRANS-REGIONALISATION: Building the bases of a trans-regional innovation system (organisational, institutional & social dimension).
